Returns & Exchange

GIFT RETURNS

If you have received an item as a gift, you may exchange it for a store credit to your Belle Epoque account (you will need to register your details). The amount is automatically deducted from your next purchase and will be valid for one year. Please be aware that you may need to pay any cost difference, additional shipping, taxes and import duties. Corporate gifts may only be returned by the original purchaser and within seven working days of initial receipt.

RECEIVING A REFUND

Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser’s credit card. If your order has been sent to a destination within the EU, all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the EU, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through Belle Epoque. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Items should be returned within 28 days of receipt of goods. We will give you a full refund or exchange* within 14 days of receiving item(s). 

* This excludes international orders, which are legibel to returns only. 

Please send all items you wish to return from an order in the same shipment to ensure your return is processed as quickly as possible. 
Items should be returned in their original packaging to ensure they are adequately protected in transit. Your return may not be accepted if the gift box is damaged. Free collection does not apply to items returned from a different country to the original shipping destination. We ask that items are returned to us via a courier  to ensure that they are protected and insured during transit. We strongly recomend you obtain a free 'Certificate of Posting' from the Post Office, as will not accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.

International customs duties, shipping costs and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside the European Community (EU).

International customers must clearly write 'return' or 'unwanted goods' on the label of their returns parcel to avoid unnecessary customs charges.

If you return your purchase by post or courier after the periods outlined above (with the exception of faulty or damaged goods), we reserve the right not to offer you a refund. We may instead return your purchase to you.

UK RETURNS & EXCHANGES:

Returns for UK customers (and Northern Ireland) are free of charge.

Please use the Freepost address on the Returns Form enclosed with your package and refer to our Returns Procedure section below.

INTERNATIONAL RETURNS:

If you live outside of the UK, we regret that return costs are the responsibility of the customer and that exchanges cannot be processed. For all returns, please follow the steps below.

RETURNS PROCEDURE

UK - Please attach the address label provided on your returns note to your parcel and send your parcel to our warehouse. Please ask the Post Office for proof of postage.

International - Please attach the address label provided to your parcel and send your parcel to our warehouse and ensure you retain proof of postage. We regret that return costs are the responsibility of the customer and that exchanges cannot be processed. 

International customers must clearly write ‘return’ or ‘unwanted goods’ on the label of their returns parcel to avoid extra unnecessary customs charges.

OUR POLICY

Items should be returned new, unused, and with all Belle Epoque tags still attached. Returns that are damaged or soiled may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer.

LATE RETURNS

Returns outside these timeframes may be accepted at the discretion of Belle Epoque and may only be refunded as a store credit. 

FAULTY GOODS

Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty. If you would like to exchange a faulty item, please be aware that we can only replace it for the same product in the same size, subject to availability. Where possible, we will offer to repair faulty items.

MONOGRAMMED ITEMS

Monogrammed items will be delivered separately from the rest of your order – up to three weeks from the purchase date. If you choose to monogram any item, it will be personalised for you and changes, returns, exchanges or cancellations cannot be accepted.  International deliveries for monogrammed items also factor in the standard 5-8 days delivery window, so please anticipate up to a four-week delivery for orders that include monogrammed items. 

 

Shipping 

 

WORLDWIDE DELIVERY

Order will be delivered on the next working day in the UK.
  Allow 3-8  working days of the order date for orders outside the UK.  * Shipping times are to be used as a guide only, BELLE EPOQUE cannot take responsibility for delays due to customs clearance.

NEXT DAY DELIVERY – BEFORE 12 NOON (UK ONLY)

Place your order by 1.00pm Mond ay to Thursday and it will be delivered to you on the next working day by 12noon. If an item is ordered after this time, we are not able to guarantee next day delivery but we will endeavour to have the item delivered as quickly as possible. Orders placed after the order cut-off time on Friday will be processed on Monday for Tuesday delivery. Please note this option is not guaranteed during the Christmas or sale period.

 

SHIPPING RATES

Deliveries within the UK: FREE 

Delivery to the EU: £15 

Delivery to the USA and UAE: FedEx £20

Delivery to Rest of World: FedEx £25

 

 

STANDARD UK DELIVERY 

Standard delivery orders placed before 12pm on a weekday will be processed that day.

Standard delivery orders placed after 12pm will be processed the next working day.

UK Standard orders are delivered by UK Mail and require a signature.  Delivery takes between 2 - 3 working days.

 

NEXT WORKING DAY UK DELIVERY

Next Working Day orders placed on Monday - Thursday before 1:30pm will be processed that day and will be delivered the following day. Any orders placed on Monday - Thursday after 1:30pm will be processed the next working day and will be delivered the following working day.  

If you place an order before 1:30pm on Friday the order will be delivered the following week on the Monday, if you place an order after 1:30pm on a Friday the order will be processed the following week on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.

 

PACKAGING 

Your items will be wrapped in tissue paper and placed inside our cream gift boxes with our signature gold Belle Epoque logo, making the perfect gift wrapping or ideal storage item. Orders will be delivered in a corrugated box sleeve to protect the package during transit.

DUTIES AND TAXES

Please note:

EU deliveries will not be subject to additional duties and taxes.US deliveries are now DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). Non EU and Non US deliveries may be subject to additional duties and taxes. Any applicable Duties and Taxes on deliveries must be settled by the recipient. Please check with your local customs and duties office for more information on these charges.

INSURANCE

Belle Epoque insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by Belle Epoque and transfer of responsibility in the same way.
